Merck believes that health information is a universal right and that every person is entitled to accurate, accessible and usable medical information. As a sign of Merck's commitment to worldwide medical information access and improving global health, the Merck Manuals (in North America) and MSD Manuals (in the remainder of the world) are available online for free. Homework Alabama

Homework Alabama provides free homework tutoring and test prep materials in over 40 subjects, including math, science, social studies, and language arts. Tutors are available seven days a week from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Princeton Review’s SAT/ACT Essentials and live online career coaching are also available seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Learning Express Library

Learning Express Library offers practice tests, exercises, skill-building courses, and e-books covering all grade levels and subjects. It has resources to help students improve their math, reading, science, logic, writing, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and public speaking skills. There are preparation guides for applying to colleges, taking standardized tests like the GED, SAT, and ACT. It also has resources to help adults find jobs, improve work-related skills, and learn more about and prepare for various occupations.

Library Bill of Rights

The American Library Association affirms that all libraries are forums for information and ideas, and that the following basic policies should guide their services.

I. Books and other library resources should be provided for the interest, information, and enlightenment of all people of the community the library serves. Materials should not be excluded because of the origin, background, or views of those contributing to their creation.

II. Libraries should provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues. Materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.

III. Libraries should challenge censorship in the fulfillment of their responsibility to provide information and enlightenment.

IV. Libraries should cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgment of free expression and free access to ideas.

V. A person’s right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin, age, background, or views.

VI. Libraries which make exhibit spaces and meeting rooms available to the public they serve should make such facilities available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use.
