Observed since 1982, Banned Books Week serves as a reminder of one of our most empowering rights, the privilege to freely choose what we wish to read. To quote Franklin Roosevelt: “Books cannot be killed by fire …books never die...no force can take from the world the books that embody man's eternal fight against tyranny.”
